Internship abroad [summer 2022] DSAA Design, Graphic design (school year 2021-2023)

 

 

 

As part of my professional internship, I had the chance to spend three months in Turin, Italy. I did my internship in the movable type printing and graphic design workshop Archivio Tipografico. I was then able to learn to compose and layout texts and other graphic compositions using the typographic technique. It’s a very enriching technique that allows me today to approach my graphic design projects with a different perspective. I was also able to deepen my knowledge in character drawing and editorial design.
Doing this internship in this agency was a great opportunity to discover this ancestral technique. The fact that it was abroad was also a professional and personal challenge, particularly thanks to the different languages ​​used on a daily basis. The Spanish hostel in which I lived during these three months allowed me to meet other students from all backgrounds (Slovakia, Spain, Germany, Argentina, etc.). This Erasmus+ experience was both a professional and human experience that I can only recommend!

 

 

 

 

The city of Turin, despite its size, is very quiet. There are many architectures and various parks and museums to visit within the city itself and the outdoor nature is very accessible for hiking. I also had the opportunity to visit other Italian cities for days or weekends, including Milan, Rome, and Genoa!
